My Life in Science - Nobel Laureate Professor Peter Agre MD

Professor Peter Agre MD, Winner of the 2003 Nobel Prize in Chemistry, Vice Chancellor for Science and Technology, Duke University, North Carolina, USA

My life in science In this lecture, Dr Peter Agre traces the unusual story of his own scientific development. His life in science begins in a small Minnesota farming community (where he narrowly passed high school Chemistry), and takes him all the way to Stockholm, Sweden, where he was co-recipient of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2003. Dr Agre draws on his personal history as he examines the role of science in the public sphere, with a particular focus on the importance of science education.
