The Brain Sciences UNSW logo design represents the elements of collaboration and interaction and a fostering of a collective interest in the neurosciences.
The spheres represent the various disciplines comprising Brain Sciences UNSW, such as neurobiology, neurology, psychiatry, psychology and other fields with an interest in aspects of the function and structure of the brain and central nervous system. The multiple sources of light represent the various approaches used by investigators to increase knowledge, the interactions between these approaches, and the collaborations between researchers from various disciplines.
Acknowledgment: Professor Vaughan Macefield (Neuroscience Research Australia) and Ms Jarray Ambrose (School of Medical Sciences) were instrumental in the design and development of the Brain Sciences UNSW logo.
